YOGA IS THE JOURNEY OF THE SELF, THROUGH THE SELF, TO THE SELF!

I’ve spent half my life in yoga. I have been practicing 3-5 times a week since passing the Bikram Yoga course back in 2007, and after going through further yoga education and training I’m now a teacher at studios all over Europe. I have a holistic body-mind-soul approach, leading Bikram and Yin yoga classes, as well as workshops on mindfulness, arm strength and backbends. In my early career I focused almost exclusively on the body as a personal trainer and running coach, but just before my 30th birthday I took the decision to gain the Bikram qualification. I wanted to incorporate the conscious aspect of exercise more heavily into my work. It’s hard to put into words how yoga has changed my life; and sometimes it’s not so intuitive. When I look back at the 17-year-old kid who walked into a yoga studio for the first time, it’s like seeing a stranger. Back then I felt pretty happy in a 9-5 job, partying on the weekends, then working as a barman in a club. I really felt comfortable in that life. That’s because sometimes you just don’t know how fulfilling life can really be. Yoga changed my relationships with my friends, family, with everyone. With myself, even. It changed how I see the world. I love sharing that with people, and I think people tend to enjoy my classes because they can feel that love!
